Delivering WEBSITES

 

1. WEBSITE PRODUCTION
  Knowing how to build and maintain your own website is an essential productivity skill for the 21st century professional. A website is nothing more than a device for displaying information in the form of text, images, and audio. This information is displayed through the computer screen and is accessible by anyone with an Internet Browser.
In order to publish your own websites, you need the following:

- A Website (Constructed with .html files)
- An ISP (Internet Service Provider to host your website)
- An FTP Client (For uploading your site files to the ISP)
2. FTP CLIENTS
  The following FTP Clients are free. An FTP Client (File Transfer Protocol) is simply a program that allows you to transfer files from your Desktop to your web server.

3. FREE WEBSPACE
  There are a number of companies who will give you webspace "free" of charge. There are usually some conditions to this free webspace. In many cases, advertising will appear on your webpages. There is also a restriction in how much space you are allowed to use.
