Model for COMMUNICATION

1. A COMMUNICATION MODEL

In order to become technologically empowered, you need to be able to reference all aspects of your work to a general model. We will use a simple Communication Model for our purposes.

1. We often have ideas and wish to communicate them effectively to others.

2. In order to communicate an idea, one very basic thing needs to happen. Every idea needs to be converted into a mediaform in order for communication to occur.

This is a univeral law. No idea can be communicated to another unless it is first converted in to some form of media.

3. As humans, we learn about our world through the 5 senses. These consist of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. But we only usually use two mediaforms in our usual communication efforts. These are sight and sound.

We usually convert our ideas to sight and sound mediaforms in order to communicate them to others. These mediaforms have many sub-categories connected to them.

4. Converting ideas to mediaforms is just the first step in effective communication. After we have a mediaform, we need to effectively deliver the mediaform to the audience.

5. In the 21st century, we have many efficient delivery systems available. Currently popular forms include print, presentation, and website formats.
