In order to successfully work your way through the course lessons, you will need to know how to do the following basic activities on the computer:

1. Operate the mouse effectively
2. Open, close, rename, and delete a file
3. Create a new folder, open and close folders, rename them, and be able to delete them
4. Maximize and minimize windows
5. Insert and access a CD-ROM
6. Access your system audio control panel
7. Launch an Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, Navigator, etc.)
8. Type in URLs (website addresses) in the browser address bar
9. Click your way through a website (also using back & forward buttons)
